Red Velvet Vajayjay

My first attempt at Red Velvet Vajayjay cake..! Found a Martha Stewart recipe, swapped the red food colouring for beetroot juice and added some vajazzling on top. Took them into work this morning and certainly broke the Monday morning ice. Colleagues commented on how 'moist' the cakes were, but I'm not sure that 'moist' and vajjy cake should be in the same sentence! Certainly gave the cupcake shop a run for its money today. Mmmmmmmm.

I recently opened an online photo management account so I could upload and share my beautiful vagina illustrations - created by the insanely talented Kate Murray. My photostream needed to be marked ‘public’ in which to create a slideshow through Blogger.

The next day I received an email from the online support staff saying “We've changed the safety level of your photostream." Apparently, the content of the illustrations were found inappropriate by another member, so I was marked as ‘moderate’.

Now I’m a really open person. I’m not afraid to raise embarrassing questions in the lunchroom at work and I often talk about somewhat taboo subjects – not to shock people, but to share my experiences and try to break down barriers.

I’ve since found another online photo sharing service and the illustrations should be rotating on the right hand side of this blog. I totally understand that people could be offended by pornographic images of vaginas, but The Vagina Buffet illustrations are tasteful, well presented vagina muff styles – do they offend you? And if you can help me understand why people could be offended by this, I would absolutely love to hear from you.

Girly Chat Room: Unwanted hair

So I was out to dinner with the girls last month discussing hair removing techniques whilst waiting for our mains to arrive. Andrea (meticulously groomed and gorgeous mother of one) piped up and said... "I've told Eamon (very understanding husband of hers) that if I have a stroke or I am in a coma, he's to pluck the dark hairs from my chin and keep my eyebrows perfectly manicured."

Wow....! WOW....! In all my years beside a waxing table, in amongst all the crazy requests and situations, throughout my twenty plus years of personal grooming, I had never thought to discuss this! Ever! With anyone! Sure I've openly discussed organ donation with my husband, but never hair-removing maintenance in a stroke or coma circumstance?

I guess this is a difficult subject to raise with loved ones, we never want to think of ourselves in this position, but note to my family and friends: If I am ever unable to physically remove unwanted hair from my face, I give you full permission to wax and tweeze my problem areas and tint my eyelashes, but please, PLEASE keep my eyebrow shape as it is, don't go crazy with the plucking, just the stray hairs underneath.
